Anchorage Biathlon Club is a 501c3 nonprofit. Our goal is to grow the sport of biathlon in Anchorage and Alaska. In order accomplish our goal we have recently hired an elite level coach who has the unique skill set to take our local athletes and develop them into biathletes who one day will reach the podiums of national and international events. Our head coach, Jean Paquet is one of the few coaches from the United States or Canada to have taken an athlete reach the top of the podium, and win a gold medal in a World Cup Biathlon race. We are very fortunate in have him in the Anchorage area to train up and coming athletes.

With the addition of an elite, Olympic caliber coach also comes the cost of employing them. As a club we are working to become self sustaining, but as always in the beginning are some growing pains.
